NEIL ARMSTRONG – R.I.P.

There are little news and big ones.

And this is the biggest one of this Saturday, Augusto 25, 2012, but also of this year and forever: test pilot, aeronautics engineer, astronaut of Projects Gemini and Apollo, first man in the Moon, and university professor, Dr. Neil Armstrong passed away at the age of 82.

The blindness of politicians, the lack of vision of those in authority, the budgetary cuts applied to NASA, had been crippling for decades the projection of the humanity to the Space and any relevant Space Program where the human presence is irreplaceable.

The death of Neil Armstrong should give the boost to a new robust Space Program where human beings should go again to the Moon, not just to visit it but to stay there. And they should have to go to Mars in this decade and not within two decades.

That would be the only and adequate homage to this real hero of the whole humanity.

Still resound in our ears those famous words that we heard from him just arrived to the Moon:

“That’s one small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind”

Neil Armstrong, honorable representative of the human race, Requiescat In Pace (Rest In Peace)
